Position Overview:
- Join our team as a Purchaser, leading procurement for our furniture manufacturing company.
- Specializing in furniture production with steel and wood, along with interior fit-outs involving wood, steel, and glass.
- We require a candidate with less than one year of experience, ideally with strong leadership skills to oversee local and import purchases and manage raw materials inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement: Lead the procurement strategy for timely and cost-effective material acquisition.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers for quality and reliability.
- Inventory Control: Manage raw material inventory levels to meet production demands.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation and alternative sourcing.
- Compliance: Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop KPIs to evaluate supplier performance and overall procurement effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the UAE’s manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
